About Mufindi Environmental Trust (MUET)
Mufindi Environmental Trust (MUET) is a Non Governmental Organization (NGO), established in 1998 and officially registered in 1999, under the Ministry of Home Affairs. MUET is focusing more on Environmental Conservation, rehabilitation and protection of catchments areas which are source of water flowing and feeding the great Ruaha River also HIV and AIDS. It is evident that the great Ruaha is the major source of water for MTERA and KIDATU Hydroelectric dams. The two dams produce about 90% of Hydro–electricity consumed in Tanzania.
