• Mufindi Environmental Trust has gained strength in community mobilization and protection of water sources.
• Eight water sources have been well protected and rehabilitated. In collaboration with ministries of Agriculture, Natural resources and Tourism MUET has been training the community on Bee–keeping, tree Nursery establishment, and establishment of fish ponds.
• Have started a Technical School with 20 students at Mtambula, one of the 28 wards in Mufindi district.
• Have employed one International Volunteer who is very conversant with environmental matters and all the related fields.
• In collaboration with other Institutions MUET has made some financial contribution to one of the children with disabilities Schools in the district (Makalala Primary School at Mafinga).
• MUET has a revolving fund which is geared towards assisting only the less privileged groups, Women and Youths.
• MUET has mobilized tree planting campaign cumulatively more than 40 million tree seedlings have been planted since 2000

MUET have started a four year Programme on HIV /AIDS in Iringa, awareness raising and empowering women.
